OUR OPPORTUNITY  

Reporting to the VP Sales, the Business Development Manager is critical in advancing Plungie's expansion within the residential construction sector, primarily focusing on increasing pool sales via builders and developers. The responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, nurturing existing relationships, and negotiating and facilitating Plungie sales. This position requires a thorough knowledge of the residential construction industry, relationship-building skills, and a commitment to driving results in a fast-paced and competitive landscape.  

You will contribute to our team by:  

  • monitoring and accelerating sales activities to achieve or exceed pool sales targets;  
  • ensuring successful conversion of sales, while also tracking future sales and key performance indicators to assess progress and pinpoint areas for improvement;  
  • building and maintaining an extensive pipeline of customers and partnerships;  
  • nurturing and growing all established relationships. This includes ensuring a regular call cycle to maintain engagement, provide education on the product, and drive repeat business;  
  • developing strategic plans to generate new customers; and  
  • monitoring industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify opportunities and potential threat to sales and revenue growth.  

 You will bring to our team:  

  • 5+ years experience working with home builders and developers in Texas with the ability to leverage existing contacts;  
  • proven track record of success in business development/sales;  
  • experience working with a technical sales product, preferably from the residential building industry;  
  • trade qualification or Bachelor's degree in business/marketing;  
  • strong relationship management skills across a diverse range of stakeholders;  
  • strong business acumen;  
  • excellent influencing and interpersonal skills;  
  • self-starter with a high level of personal accountability; and 
  • ability to travel inter/intra state.
